Nature Forward
We choose to live in harmony with the natural world — growing food, learning from plants, and building lifestyles that don't cost the earth. Solarpunk, not cyberpunk.
Growing up in a tiny flower shop/botanica in my hometown of West New York, NJ, I learned that a neighborhood shop could be so much more than a place to buy things. La Flor, my padrino's store, was where the community came to heal, to learn, to connect, and to simply belong.
Those shelves lined with herbs, flowers, and remedies held more than products. We had flowers to brighten your day, to bring joy or comfort to any occasion. We took the time to curate every arrangement — waking early on Saturday mornings to go to NYC to hand-select the flowers we wanted to sell, then cleaning and grounding each one with care and intention.
"They held generations of knowledge — how to care for one another, how to live with intention, simplicity, and love for humanity."
La Flor Collective is that corner store reborn. A space where neighbors gather to learn life skills, create together, and build the kind of community that grounds itself in nature and each other. We choose a solarpunk way of life: use technology wisely, without losing ourselves in it.

We choose to live in harmony with the natural world — growing food, learning from plants, and building lifestyles that don't cost the earth. Solarpunk, not cyberpunk.
Everyone belongs here — all walks of life, all backgrounds. We are richer together than apart, and we take care of each other the way a good neighborhood always has.
Real skills, real hands, real connection. We believe in the dignity of making things — food, flowers, art, medicine — and passing that knowledge on to the next generation.
